Meet Jasmin, Ollie at Carmel Place's Community Manager
What were you doing before you joined Ollie:
I recently graduated from St. Lawrence University where I majored in Performance and Communication Arts. From social media to event management, I’ve done a number of unique roles that have led to my current job as Community Manager. Just before joining Ollie, I had the pleasure of being the right hand [wo]man to the Editor-in-Chief of Parents Latina Magazine.
Most memorable event at Carmel Place:
Nothing tops our very first Live Music Monday on the rooftop of Ollie at Carmel Place. It was our “post” Cinco de Mayo celebration. The band was phenomenal and the energy of our community was even better. Oh - and we had tacos cooked on grill by a private chef!
Favorite thing about New York City:
The food scene is insane! As an aspiring foodie, NYC has some of the best food in the world. There’s no doubt I’ll be eating my way through this city, one cuisine at a time.
Penelope’s on Lexington Avenue is a must-try. They have some mouth-watering, distinct comfort food and amazing service, making you feel right at home. It’s a great option for a Sunday brunch.
Favorite activity in the city:
New York may be known for its’ skyscrapers, but I absolutely love going to the parks. When the weather’s especially nice, it’s always fun to have a little picnic in Central Park.
Best app for experiencing New York:
The Ollie Social app! All of the events and experiences are curated by our Community Engagement team with Ollie's values in mind, so I know that when I attend an OS event I'm in for something fun and unique.
Best insider's tip:
Go out and explore your neighborhood every once and awhile. You’ll find some of the best, underrated places conveniently located down the street from you.

Home to rare amenities such as Kips Bay Plaza, a commercial strip mall, and the Dover Street Market, a multi-level retail fashion and concept store, Kips Bay is also situated near the world’s most prestigious medical establishments and institutional buildings. Its east side location also allows residents a quick escape from the chaotic city to the water front, Stuyvesant Cove Park and East River Park.
